Race World, in partnership with the Kentucky State Police Professional Organization has created the ultimate pace car for Race World's Race Programs.
The design and working blue lights were the project of Kentucky State Trooper Detective Eldon Isenberg and to say it has been a popular addition to Race World is an understatement.
The mini trooper car, along with doing its duty at Race World was selected by the City of Bowling Green as the official pace car of the annual Mini Corvette Grand Prix.
The car will be featured at many State Police functions as well as numerous other events throughout the state including the Kentucky State Fair. If you have an event planned and are interested in having the car at your event, please let us know.
The Race World custom golf cart sees a lot of action at racetracks everywhere, including almost every major event held at Beech Bend Raceway Park. From the Corvette Homecoming to the Hot Rod Magazine Power Fest, the Race World cart and crew can be found spreading the world about Race World.
The cart was built at Race World with the help of Collision Tech Paint and Body, Commercial Sheet Metal and the wild custom flame job done by the master, Taylor's House of Color in Louisville, Kentucky.
Look for the Race World cart at an event near you and stop the guys, check out the cart, and have them tell you what's going on at Race World.
The Wheelchair Express.
We at Race World are constantly working to be the leader in the family entertainment go kart business. Our owner and former professional drag racer Spivey Williams was watching our race program one evening and one of our local young drag racers was watching his buddies race, sitting in his wheelchair after being paralyzed in a street related auto accident. Mr. Williams said we can change this picture, and the wheelchair express idea was born.
The car made its first appearance at a private party for the Kentucky State Police, and was driven by Mr. Roger Maggard of the London KY Post. Mr. Maggard, confined to a wheelchair since the age of 18 and a huge NASCAR fan, drove the car like a seasoned pro. After a few laps of practice and some minor adjustments, Mr. Maggard amazed everyone by saying "I want to run the race with the rest of the troopers." He started on the pole and never looked back for a huge victory for both himself and the entire Race World crew.
The Wheelchair Express operates with all hand controls mounted on the steering wheel and is available daily for any of our Race World customers who have the need for the car. We at Race World believe that we are the only track in the country that offers this service and sincerely hope that the idea is copied by as many tracks as possible.
